About Our Program

The Plymouth Youth Wrestling program builds a foundation of athletes that continue to the Plymouth South and Plymouth North High School programs and continue the success they have achieved over the past years.Our goal is not only to teach kids how to wrestle but also to motivate them, improve their fitness, and give them confidence .We look forward to seeing you on the mat!

Our Coaches

Program Director Christopher Sheridan is an experienced wrestler and has competed at the high school and college levels. Before moving to youth wrestling in 2018 Chris coached at the varsity high school level for 10 years.

Ryan Williams

Coach Williams eats, breaths, and sleeps Badgers Wrestling! Ryan was a successful high school wrestler and is a valuable member of the Plymouth Public School's faculty. Coach Williams is the heart and soul of Plymouth Youth Wrestling.

Vincent Renaut

Coach Renaut is a former All-American High School wrestler and Collegiate Division 3 National Champion. He is quite possibly the best wrestler to ever come out of Plymouth. We are proud and grateful to have him on our coaching staff.

Andrew Golden

Coach Golden is a former High School wrestler who has rekindled his passion for the sport coaching his son AJ. Coach Golden brings his enthusiasm, patience, and positive energy to every practice and is always willing to put in the extra effort helping wrestlers of all ages and skill levels.

Krystal Danner

Coach Krystal is a dedicated girls wrestling coach with a strong background in Brazilian Ju-Jitsu. She is a great role model for our female wrestlers and we are very fortunate to have her in our program.

Due to our space parents/specators are not allowed to stay in the practice room. Practice can be watched outside from the windows

Frequently Asked Questions

What does my wrestler need for equipment? For practice: Athletic clothes, wrestling shoes, and a bottle of water. Head gear is not required but we would like to start seeing more headgear at practice.
Does my wrestler need a wrestling uniform to wrestle in a tournament? No, they can wear their PYW shirt and shorts or sweatpants. We do have some singlets available that can be borrowed. Headgear is not required.
Do I have to register my wrestler for tournaments? Yes, you have to register and pay separately for tournaments.
Do I have to register for events? It depends. The events on our schedule that are run by PYW are free and you do not have to register.
What about braces? It is recommended that a mouth guard be worn for braces.
